Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect no personal information. The app has no sign-up, no login, no profile and no contact form. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, PAN, demat details or any trading account credentials, and we have no way to associate app usage with you as an individual.

2. Information stored on your device

The following is saved locally on your phone and is never transmitted to us:

• Your acceptance of the in-app disclaimer
• Your alert preferences — which rules are enabled and which indices you watch
• Widget configuration and the most recent values it displays

Uninstalling the app removes all of it. Clearing the app's storage from Android settings has the same effect.

3. Market data

Option chain data is fetched from our servers, which source it from publicly available NSE feeds. These requests carry no identifying information about you — no account, no device identifier, no advertising ID. Our servers log ordinary web request information such as IP address and timestamp for security and troubleshooting, in the same way any web server does. These logs are not used to build a profile of you and are not shared.

4. Advertising

To keep the app free, we show ads through Google AdMob. AdMob is operated by Google and may collect and process a device advertising identifier along with limited usage and device data in order to serve and measure ads. This processing is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not ours:

You can reset your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised advertising entirely, from Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device. Doing so does not affect any feature of the app.

5. Notifications

If you turn on alerts, the app checks the option chain in the background during market hours and posts notifications locally on your device. Nothing about those alerts is sent to us or to anyone else. If you never enable alerts, no background checks run at all.

6. Permissions we request

• Internet access — to fetch live option chain data and serve ads.
• Notifications — only requested when you turn alerts on, so the app can post them. Declining leaves every other feature working.
• Run at startup — so scheduled alert checks and the home-screen widget resume after the device restarts. Requested only if alerts or the widget are in use.

7. Children

Advanced OptionChain is a market analysis tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to delete on request — but if you believe a child has used the app and you have a concern, contact us and we will help.

8. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade information about you, because we do not hold any. The only third party involved in the app is Google, as the provider of AdMob, described in section 4.

9. Security

All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Because we store no personal data, there is no personal account information that could be exposed in the event of a breach of our systems.

10. Your choices

• Reset or limit ad personalisation in your Android settings at any time.
• Turn alerts off in the app, which stops all background activity.
• Clear the app's storage to erase every locally stored preference.
• Uninstall the app to remove everything it has saved.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Material changes affecting how data is handled will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
